Subclass 188 visa is a temporary visa, and it allows applicants to come to Australia to own and run a business, invest in a specified portfolio, or undertake an entrepreneurial activity. This visa has five streams, and each stream has different requirements.

Subclass 188 visa is a temporary visa and it allows applicants to come to Australia to own and run a business, invest on specified portfolio, or undertake an entrepreneurial activity. This visa has five streams, and each stream has different requirements.
Applicants need to firstly submit their expression of interest to State or Territory government agency or Austrade. The government will then review their circumstances and business plan; different states or territory may have different additional investment requirements. Only the successful applicants will be nominated and invited by government to apply for the subclass 188 visa.
The 188 business visa holders may be eligible to access permanent resident visa pathway to apply for the visa subclass 888.
