Subclass 884 Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) visa

This is a temporary parenting visa for senior age applicants (usually above 65). A bridging visa will be issued to onshore parents. This visa shares the same requirements and purpose as the 173 visa.

EZOZ Migration suggest all parent visa applications to be submitted as soon as possible to avoid processing delays. The later you submit the visa application, the longer you will have to wait to be able to reunite with your dear family in Australia. We expect the waiting time will consistently increase from 58 months in future.

○ Australian Welfare Arrangements for 884 holder:

▪ Access to Medicare when 884 visa is granted

▪ Can not apply for aged pension as 884 visa holder
